Before I explain the full strategy, guys you should know what actually happened Sony’s Insomniac Games was recently hacked by the Rhysida ransomware gang. The hackers stole and released 1.67 terabytes of data, which included about 1.3 million files. In total, they locked millions of files from Insomniac’s library. They then demanded a ransom of 20 Bitcoins (around $590,000) to unlock the files. On top of that, they threatened to leak sensitive information online if the ransom wasn’t paid. As a result, a lot of confidential data has been exposed including details about Sony’s upcoming games and projects.

Mastermind Strategy of Sony’s Insomniac:
This is quite possible that what we’re seeing isn’t a genuine hack, but rather a clever marketing strategy. One thing I want to confirm: all I am talking about is my perspective or point of view, okay? Focus on the main topic.
If you read point no. 8, you realize this: many people are playing their game who didn’t want to play their game and even don’t like their game (Wolverine and other games). Why? Because it is free and a popular topic. Everyone plays, even those who don’t like their game—and this is the main strategy. I’ll explain how:
So, people are playing their games and getting attached to their games, and this is the main thing. They are planning their next game, Wolverine 2, which will sell more than Wolverine 1 after this hack. People must buy their game because they are playing the game for free (especially Wolverine). Whoever plays Wolverine 1, they must buy Wolverine 2. This is a marketing strategy.
Mainly, they are marketing their next game. And I know you all guys say in the leaked data there is not any information about Wolverine 2 I know! This is not confirmed information. This is just a leak and maybe upgraded after some time. Maybe they change their upcoming game schedule after this hack. Possible, guys! Think, think!
Now, let’s talk about Spider-Man and X-Men. This also seems like part of their marketing plan. Because if you think why only Wolverine game full source code leak? And according to the leak, people are just playing Wolverine, braaaaa damn! This is so simple—they are very clever.
Okay, I have another proof (maybe not)… ohh no no I forget shit man! Shit, shit come on man! Okay, leave. Talking about other strategy so, begin with Spider-Man.
Spider-Man is already hugely popular, but some, like myself, don’t enjoy it. However, if you look at point number 5, you’ll see that there’s a lot of information about Spider-Man, almost everything. This shows that Spider-Man is a big project, and that’s exactly what they want you to think.
They want you to believe that Spider-Man is a massive project with many updates and upcoming multiplayer events. This creates hype around the game. If they revealed all this information at an event, it might not have the same impact as claiming their data was hacked and leaking information about multiple titles in development.
This creates a lot of hype and curiosity among the audience. I hope my point is clear. Oh, and one more thing I almost forgot to mention: if someone hacked their data, why haven’t we heard anything from the authorities? No police updates or news about what the hackers are up to.
This strongly suggests that it’s more of a marketing ploy than an actual hack.
